Ready for the end of the decade Usher in a time of Jubilee Beauty rests where ashes stood Along with the refuse of these thieves I always thought that you were on my side If So then I need a pair of brand new eyes Oh Oh Oh In these little civil wars we wage both day and night Oh Oh I'm waving this white flag, am I losing my faith as well as this fight? Woh In these little civil wars the scars scream loud and clear Yah and I cannot seem to hear your words of love in these little civil wars Oh I mistook a lamb for a wolf and turned you into the enemy All the time deceivers were plowing over my back and planting seeds The battle lines have been blurred for too long It's time for me to sing a brand new song

Skin Deep 04:39
I can't lie I must confess I've been trying to take the wheel Giving into second guessing, blame it on all the things I don't feel I can't lie I must confess I don't to like to feel this small But I'm desperate to pass the test so I'll be content to be two feet tall Well its all for love and its all for me Not in the business of playing games, but to set me free Down below skin deep is where you'll see me Where I need the light Ready to shed this skin I'm in that makes me put up such a fight I can't lie I must confess the wider road seems mighty fine A formulaic one, two, three I'll package you up, baby nice and tight Well its all for love You do it all for me Not in the business of comprimise but to set me free It won't hurt but for a minute It can't take me down if I let you kill it Here's the chance here's the golden ticket Opportunity knocks so please don't miss it
3.
Stand Down 04:44
Darlin' how I know you've tried to tell me in a million ways But you don't have to speak a word Just listen to what I have to say If we're gonna make this good and never act like we've arrived I'll be glad to be the first to lay down every single ounce of pride Gonna Stand down, gonna see it through your eyes Gonna show you real love, gonna win by losing this fight I'm gonna stand down In a world that seems to have no price for making love look so cheap The walls are stacked up ten feet high For lovers just like you and me Here begins to turn the tide I lay my grudges down to die And that's when we come back to life I'm not giving up, I'm not giving in I'm just giving love like I should have been Right from the start to the very end I'm standing, I'm standing down

Common Grace 04:52
It is time, I know its time. You’ve outlived too many lovers your body it betrayed your mind We have peace, that you’ll find rest, and we trust in bigger plans for what is best And a common grace from an uncommon man, a legacy of love passed down with gentle hands And like ripples on the water this legacy extends to more shorelines than we can comprehend, than I can comprehend It is time, I know its time to reflect upon this most extraordinary quiet life No diploma hanging on your wall but no man deserves to stand as tall with such wisdom as your guide And a common grace from an uncommon man, a legacy of love passed down with gentle hands And like ripples on the water that legacy extends to more shorelines than we can comprehend, than I can comprehend Its in the roses Frances tended and how you tried so hard to mend her body. Its in finding romance in a life long friend and coming back to life again Its in slivers of pie and lobbing balls up to the sky Donkey bites upon our knees and table tennis neath the trees Father time on new years eve and that black dog at your feet Its salt that’s in the sugar bowl and an eighth of glass of milk is all you need, all you need It is time I know its time to contemplate the beauty and the mystery of this life None can claim to know the ways and means of a good good God who can see everything. He sees everything.

I lay my sins on Jesus, the spotless Lamb of God; He bears them all, and frees us from the accursed load; I bring my guilt to Jesus, to wash my crimson stains White in His blood most precious, till not a stain remains. I lay my wants on Jesus; all fullness dwells in Him; He heals all my diseases, He doth my soul redeem: I lay my griefs on Jesus, my burdens and my cares; He from them all releases, He all my sorrows shares. I rest my soul on Jesus, this weary soul of mine; His right hand me embraces, I on His breast recline. I love the Name of Jesus, Immanuel, Christ, the Lord; Like fragrance on the breezes His Name abroad is poured. I long to be like Jesus, strong, loving, lowly, mild; I long to be like Jesus, the Father’s holy Child: I long to be with Jesus, amid the heavenly throng, To sing with saints His praises, to learn the angels’ song.

Hidden 04:18
We who have been raised with Christ will seek the things above As Christ is seated at His fathers side and intercedes for us God set our minds, Abba set our hearts, Lord fix our eyes upon Our first Love That Love that lifts the burden, that Love that tore the curtain for love of us For we have been hidden for we have died Our lives have been hidden with God in Christ Free from the bondage of this earthly life We rejoice for we are risen with Jesus Christ, We rejoice for we are hidden in Jesus Christ Holy and Beloved we put to death the ways in which we walked As God’s chosen every idol must broken with knowledge of the Son With humble hearts and patient steps, truth that is spoken with every breath We put on love above all other things love that binds in unity every man, woman and child

Maker & King 05:23
My Maker and my King, To Thee my all I owe; Thy sovereign bounty is the spring Whence all my blessings flow; The creature of Your hand, On You alone I live; My God, Your benefits demand More praise than I can give. Lord, what can I give When all is yours before? Thy love demands a thankful heart; My gift is so poor O! let Thy grace inspire My soul with strength divine; Let every word each desire And all my days be Thine. More Praise than I can give There is no gift I could give my make and king Oh So infinite in your beauty and mercy Yet your mindful of me

God moves in mysterious ways, mysterious ways His wonders to perform; He plants His footsteps in the sea, steps in the sea And rides upon the storm. Deep in unfathomable mines, unfathomable mines, Of never failing skill He treasures up His bright designs, oh his bright designs And works His sovereign will. Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take; The clouds ye so much dread Are big with mercy and shall break In blessings on your head. His purposes will ripen fast, Unfolding every hour; The bud may have a bitter taste, But sweet will be the flower. Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, But trust Him for His grace; Behind a frowning providence He hides a smiling face. Blind unbelief is sure to err And scan His work in vain; And He will make it plain.

You are my portion, my prize A pleasant boundary line for my soul Your waters spring from the deep, Infinite stores that make me whole You are, You are... My Inheritance, my great Reward My Inheritance which I set my gaze towards My Inheritance, all else pales in comparison To You, To You, To You My Inheritance The Blessings that you bestow are only shadows of so much more You are no means to end Your glory is all our hearts’ yearning for Oh You are, Yes You Are! Put to death in me the things I seek Lesser lovers whispering their deceit Put to death in me the things I seek so You may be...CHORUS

We are the saints who are marked who are chosen By the love we’ve received in the Lord Jesus Christ We count everything loss for this love has been proven To surpass in all beauty, to preserve to provide Oh to know Him in His power, to be like him in His death Make this our Hearts one desire, that from Christ we draw our breath Christ Jesus has made us his own through his suffering So we strain to the goal of that most precious prize Oh suffering and trial we claim them as mercies That result in our resurrected lives Oh to know Him in His power to be like him in his death Make this our hearts one desire, that from Christ we draw our breath Oh rejoice, yet again I will say rejoice for in Christ we have been found We receive this righteousness through faith and obtain our heavenly crown

Praise the Lord Oh My Soul Oh and All that is Within Praise the Lord Oh My Soul and forget not all His benefits He Forgives all my sins, and he heals my aching bones He Redeemed the life I once owed from the pit, Praise the Lord Praise the Lord Oh My Soul, and all that is within Praise the Lord oh My Soul, and forget not all his benefits He has put a seal on our hearts till His Glory is Revealed Praise the Lord who crowns us with His Love Praise the Lord who satisfies your heart For he is slow to anger, rich in grace and peace Praise the Lord oh My Soul for He has set His captives free Praise the Lord Oh My Soul, oh and All you Heavenly hosts Praise the Lord Oh My soul and you who carry out his works For as high as all the heavens reside above the earth Tis the measure of His love for those he treasures and preserves Praise the Lord We are like grass, like flowers of the field The Wind, oh it blows and we are gone His character is such, He cannot turn away For He knows the very ways that we are formed Yes He knows the very ways that we are formed Praise the Lord oh My Soul Oh and All He calls His own Praise the Lord oh My Soul Bow before Him at His Throne He remembers we are nothing, and yet beckons us come HOME

about

The creation of this album has involved many moments of shedding blood, sweat and tears dating back to almost seven years ago. The songs reflect the joys and struggles of a spiritual journey that I've been on for quite some time, a sojourn of taking a faith that was given to me from a long lineage of believers and making it my own. Some of the songs I could play in a bar. Others could be used for corporate or private worship. And I hope to do exactly that. I wanted this album to be enjoyable and thought provoking for anyone willing to listen, whether they agree with what I have to say or not. Thank you so much for your support and I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed making it!
